Passportraits

An interactive performance with audience participation & a growing collection of more than 300 plasticine portraits. 2007 – present.
On different locations in the city, Efrat Zehavi invites passersby to sit with her for a short while and to be portrayed in a soft, colourful modelling clay. During these sessions, she becomes acquainted with her models by talking with them about various topics. The conversations are part and parcel of the experience. They make the sitter an active element of the performance, and the intimate conversation into a public event.
